Coronary angiography is an examination of the coronaries of the heart.

Coronary angiography is used to determine whether there is coarctation of the coronaries requiring treatment.
How is coronary angiography performed?
Coronary angiography is performed via an artery from the groin or the wrist or forearm. A small catheter is inserted, through which a contrast agent is injected into the vessels of the heart. Simultaneously, the heart is x-rayed, creating images of the vessels.
After the examination, you can get a CD with the images in a format than can be played on the media player of an ordinary computer.
